Shit Shui

Animals bring so much to our lives. Dogs, cats, birds, horses, Guinea pigs...they teach us so much about joy and unconditional love. They are pure of heart and masters of living in the moment. They truly live the life that so many of us strive to achieve. They don't question their existence. They don't regret the past or worry about the future. They find happiness and contentment in simply living their lives.

As stewards of this physical realm, I feel it is our responsibility to care for and nurture all living things; especially those that have little or no voice on their own.  These animals, domestic and wild, have so much to teach us.  Love them, care for them and learn from them. Volunteer at a local animal shelter, build a backyard sanctuary for them, advocate for them or donate to an animal charity (I've even listed some of my favorite charities for you in the Community section). Even a small act can make a huge difference in their lives.

I've been blessed to have shared my life with so many wonderful dogs and cats and I wouldn't be the person I am now without them.  I started making dog and cat quilts years ago because what furry kid doesn't love a clean blankie!  These quilts are not just fun and whimsical, but they are a great addition to pet beds, crates and furniture...where ever your furry friends love to chill. Each quilt is made with cotton/cotton blend fabric that is machine sewn and then attached to a fleece or flannel backing.  The corners are hand-stitched and the quilts are machine-washable, although I do recommend using the gentle cycle to wash them in order to extend the life of the quilt.  With so many fun colors and fabrics, you're sure to find the perfect one for your extended family. FYI, these make great quilts for babies of the human variety as well!
